Success in Business: Strengthening Commitment - Diversity and Inclusion in the Business Community

The Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce a new chamber member benefit: Success in Business Seminars - learn over lunch. The Success in Business (SIB) monthly speaker series features a curriculum focused on helping chamber members build critical business skills. Sessions include navigating a tricky human resources issue, closing the sale, effective networking techniques and learning how to communicate more effectively in the workplace. Success in Business is designed to provide an engaging program for business professionals at all levels.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES: Learn how people from different backgrounds and experiences contribute to the richness and competitive edge of the community by: 

- Raising awareness about opportunities and challenges with diversity at work.

- Creating a culture of inclusion that supports performance for all.

- Leading with questions and openness to see people from new perspectives.

 

Attendees will gain new ideas and review resources to apply immediately within the workplace.

 

INCLUDES a Certificate of Completion for Diversity and Inclusion training.

Dr. Celina Peerman

ABOUT DR. CELINA PEERMAN:

Dr. Celina Peerman currently serves as an organizational psychologist with over 27 years of experience from front line to senior-level positions, in a wide range of industries and organizations. She is passionate about engaging human resources in new ways to achieve even better organizational results. Celina is a strategist with a sense of humor and a love for building capacity in organizations.

She has presented at numerous conferences for local, state, and national audiences. Celina’s work in Southeast Asia, Canada and Central America gave additional operations experience, further developing her desire to listen, learn and lead conversations while walking alongside different types of companies, exploring challenges and pursuing opportunities to drive performance.

Celina holds a Ph.D. in Psychology, a master’s degree in business, with undergraduate degrees in psychology and international studies. She is a TEDx presenter, podcaster, and writer. She sees over 250 groups each year; including over 6000 people in 2019. These audiences include large groups, small groups, and many one-on-one sessions, all helping teams maximize their potential to make an even more positive impact on those around them.
