Join us for a concert with music from Ben Shaw, Greg Gilbertson, and the Dames.
Ben Shaw is a singer-songwriter who splits his time between Los Angeles, CA and Wisconsin, USA, writing song-driven, modern folk where lyrical melodies are sung with barroom grit, embellished with psychedelic Americana. In 2016, after a decade or so of avoiding the spotlight, Ben released his first full length album in over 15 years.
As a follow-up to Feet to the Fire, in April 2018, Ben joined his Midwest based band mates to record his follow-up record, Bonita, at Pine Hollow Studios in Eau Claire, WI with Producer Evan Middlesworth (The National). The album was released in August 2018. In February 2021, Ben released the single, Quarantine Bridge, a song about coping with the loss of a friend from Covid-19.
Ben has performed solo or with full band in a variety of venues: coffee houses, house concerts, music bars, theaters, and music festivals.

ABOUT Greg Gilbertson
Wisconsin native singer-songwriter and award-winning guitarist Greg Gilbertson has an engaging charm that often belies the subject matter of his lyrics. His live shows are, in turn, energetic, then reflective. His warm tenor singing voice complements his guitar playing, which is at once smooth and complex. His countenance might shift abruptly as he adjusts his baseball cap and rips into an energetic instrumental that renders his unsuspecting audience slack-jawed. As is true of all absorbing music, the world is brought into sharp focus and then melts away.
Released in May, 2018, Greg’s full-length record, Surviving the Echoes, expertly balances dark themes of war and depression with a promise of hard-scrabble grace in the face of cynicism. Layered with biblical imagery and haunting stories, the record feels at times like a spiritual handbook, at times like a love note through the ages. The songs feel both timely and timeless.
